Hello all.
Newbie here, thank you for the add.
A question : Is there a dedicated master Control unit for the Beocentre 9500 please ?
Thank you.
Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
In answer, no!
I think many were supplied with the two-way Beolink 5000, but if you are happy with a one-way remote then a BL1000 or the later Beo4 (any version other than 'Hotel') are fine for all the day-to-day controls.
(The BC9500 will not work with the other Master Control Panels MCP5500, 6500 etc, but I think it works with BL7000 - hopefully someone else will confirm)
Thank you Guy.
I have the Beolink 1000. I would prefer the style of the MCP5000 etc. though. Never mind.
Can I ask ? What is meant by one way and two way remote controls please ?
Thank you again.
jonfey:What is meant by one way and two way remote controls please ?
Most remote controls only send a IR signals from the remote control to the device which is "One Way"
However B&O products like the MCP5000 and others send commands to the device (Radio, CD etc) and receive status data back from the device to the MCP5000. which is called "Two Way"
Regards Keith....
With a 2-way remote (and compatible BeoCenter like the BC9500), the Beocenter can also send IR signals back to the remote. This is helpful to confirm radio station setting, CD track number, volume etc.
With the BC9500/BL5000 combination, 2-way IR also lets you programme timer play/record settings over a full weekly time period, rather than the more limited (24 hour) timer functions that can be accessed just from the front panel.
Thank you for that. really helpful.
Thank you for your help. I'm grateful.
Thank you for your time and advice. It's helped a lot.
