Hi everyone,
I have a problem and hope someone can help out.
I connected my LG oled tv to the core with an optical cable, the core is connected to a pair of 18’s. The thing is that there is no sound over the 18’s, for my opinion I did everything wright.
The core is set on optical same as the preferences of the LG tv.
Is someone familiar with this problem?
kind regards,
Ramon
It sounds as though you have the correct connections (optical cable connected to the Core and the Beolab 18's). Check your settings on the B&O app if you are using, and make certain that both your Core is with its most up to date software. Most recent software version for Core in USA is 2.0.47943. In the B&O app make certain to check your B&O app product settings. Under the configure settings, you may want to check each category to make certain they are as necessary to receive sound.
Just a simple question, to be sure: which optical port did you use?
As indicated by Carolpa.... The core got IN- and OUTPUT.
Hi Carolpa,
I just the the optical out on the core connected to the optical on the lg tv.
Do I need to use the line in/optical on the core?

And just in case you didn't know.
Optical cables can have Toslink or MiniPlug in either end. Like this:
