I've been offered a pair of these (pretty tatty if the truth be known) and I have 3 questions.

1) do they suffer from foam rot?

2) I have a vague recollection of a Beoworld member successfully replacing the aluminium front panels, but can't find a thread anywhere - can anyone point me in the right direction?

3) Approx value - I have no idea!

Cheers

Nigel

They have rubber surrounds so do not suffer from foam rot

I think Leslie came closest to reproducing the stainless steel panels. Excellent metal but his lettering was too bold.

If they are tatty they are not worth a lot. Maybe less than £100

What Graham said really.

I have a nice pair - I think I paid £350 for them a couple of years ago.

Great speakers but like most B&O, condition is important as it's hard to replace the trim etc.

We could swap for your MS150s if you like Nigel?!?

They’re still suitable for use in a rec wreck room.  Smile

When I said I had been offered them, I thought the seller was going to offer me a Buy It Now price, but he changed his mind....

Well, I bid £79 for them with 5 seconds to go to the end of the auction, only to be outbid (I suspect by an auto bid.) Was really looking forward to refurbishing these....Sad

ebay

Maybe next time....

Cheers

Nigel
