Hi All

I'm looking at buying an HDR2 but cannot find any real reviews. Can anyone who owns one in Beoworld land let me know what they are like (will be connecting it to a BeoVis 7 MK3).

Pros and Cons would be good

Thanks

Hi!

I wouldn't recommend buying one since there is no way to upgrade the unit for DVB. It is lacking a digital output aswell as scart is the only means of connecting it to a BeoVision. If you want to use an external input (i.e. a DVB source), the picture quality is of composite quality (i.e. really bad).

If you are happy using the HDR2 for a couple of years just for analogue TV recordings instead of a VCR it might be a justified purchase. Otherwise I would strongly recommend getting a DVB PVR (from Topfield, Humax etc.) for a much more reasonable price and use it via the PUC on your BeoVision.

Regards!
