I recently brought my old Beogram 1200 out of storage, and plugged it in, the motor runs, but nothing else seems to work.
I wanted to ask how do I remove the Deck/ Platter ?, as I have tried and there appears to be a lot of resistance, and I don't want to break anything.
The deck on my Beocenter 3500 just comes right off, no problem, so I don't understand what's holding it on.
All advice gratefully received.

Almost all the tech stuff can be accessed by removing the bottom cover.

So does that mean I can replace the belt, and lubricate anything that needs it ?
To change the belt you need to get the platter off, there are some plastic pieces glued to the platter, they may stick a little to the flywheel, but the platter should come off just pulling it carefully.

I cannot get this platter to move, it feels as if it's bolted to the chassis in some way.
It does have a push down and lock record center device on it, I don't know if that's anything to do with it, but it's not moving for me and feels like it will break if I force it anymore.
It has been a long time since last I had to do this but I seem to remember that you pullup the center tab. Push and rotate to pop it up and then grab it and pull up.It will slide up and off and there is a spring underneath it that will also come up.Then three screws will appear, holding the platter to the hub.At least that's how (I think) I remember it.
Plus, when I removed the bottom, the large rubber drive wheel doesn't seem to want to contact to the drive cone on the motor, and the Axel ?, that it's on seems incredibly stiff.
I tried a little Plus Gas, like WD 40 but thinner and that seemed to loosen it a bit
But I just can't see anything properly without getting this platter off.

Do you mean the aluminum platter or the flywheel (under platter)

The flywheel comes off after pulling the pin holding the gray gear to the flywheel shaft.
Martin, You are a Star, one platter duly removed, and I've now got a shot a getting access to the drive spindle.
My apologies for all the questions but I really would like to get this deck working properly, as I can use it with my 3000-2; I really am beginning to get the Beo Virus, what with 5 bits of vintage kit now.

Having looked at the thread of your 1202 rebuild, I have to say yours looks a lot simpler that what I have underneath,.
The problem seems to be that the Rubber drive wheel that engages the spindle on the motor to then drive the belt, isn't actually touching the spindle when I turn the speed selector on the deck, so I'm getting no drive to the platter, it looks like I'm going to have to take the drive apart and fully clean and lubricate it.
