Hi all,

Never posted before on any web site, so if this post is in the wrong place or not as it should be please be patient.

I have joined on behalf of my dad who brought a beomaster 2000 new when they where made. It was going strong until a couple of weeks ago when one channel went down. He took it to a shop and they confirmed that a channel had failed the left side I believe. They told him it could not be fixed. He is 80 years old so is not really up to speed all things internet, so upon surfing in an attempt to help I found this site and joined. So to cut a long story short I am looking for someone to fix it for him. We live near Heathrow in London. So anyone who could help would be great, he really loves his Bang & Olufsen.

Thanks everyone and of course we expect to pay for all works undertaken and all costs involved in postage and packing , he just wants his B and O fixed J

Which 2000? This one or this one?

The earlier one can certainly be fixed. The newer one was the first of the hybrid receivers in this style but I am sure we can get something done.  Let me know which one and I will ask a friend who lives very near him if he would be willing to help.

That is the hybrid and newer one. I'll see what I can arrange. A bit late to ring him tonight so I will contact him tomorrow. I am sure we can help though!

It seems that if you bring anything older than 10 years to a B&O dealers 'repair shop' today, the standard answer is: "It can not be repaired...".
They don't even want to open it..."If we can't just change a module, we can't fix it..."

Wonder what kind of education one needs to work in a place like that... Devil
Do they even learn to solder, these days..? Whistle
Anyone can change a module...
