I remember visiting MoMA in the early eighties and seeing the B&O on display.

The really annoying thing, I mean curse and kick myself hard over, is that I could have bought the table on the right, the Clockwork Orange one, in the late 70's for $150 US but didn't because I couldn't find a source for the silicone grease used to control platter speed. The thing had a donate shaped trough filled with liquid silicone that had a little paddle that stuck down in it, you varied the angle of the paddle to vary the drag and set rotation speed.
Grumble...

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

The reality tho, is that when you visit the museum you're lucky if they have one B&O item on display. The last time I was there it was a Beomic. Maybe I'll visit this week and post a photo.

Back in 1984, in Hamburg, I were offered to buy a 1956 Mercedes Benz 300 SL for 50,000 SEK (about 5,000 euros) and a 1966 MB 600 for 25,000 SEK.
It is rarely the affair you did that you regret, rather, it is the deal you didn’t...

I visited MoMA over the weekend. Sad to report, not a single piece of B&O on display. But for you art lovers, I snapped a few photos of other objets d'Art at MoMA (sorry about the poor quality - flash not permitted).

Thank you in any case, I quite enjoyed the pics - at least there was one wall installed BV10 mockup and a makeshift BL5000 as well
Being in "permanent collection" in some museum doesn't at all imply that the objects would be on display somewhere. Museums usually have a lot more in their inventory that could possibly fit in the regular exhibition.

...precisely why I included them.
Interesting pictures! Thanks for posting them. It's true about museum collections, the "permanent" collection spends a lot of time in boxes and storerooms. But still, being included in such is an honor for a firm like B&O.
I still have serious doubts about a lot of what passes for modern "art" though, as much as a philistine as that makes me. When I visit the National Gallery in DC, I find a whole lot more that moves me and touches me emotionally in the classics than in the modern art section.
They do of course rotate what's on display, so it's the luck of the draw as to whether or not you'll see what you're looking for at any given time.
