Hi everybody.
I recently acquired a Beogram 6000 in perfect condition and wanted to couple it up with one of my loudspeaker sets. I have a couple of Beovox S45 and a couple of Beovox RL45 or RL 60 (I can't remember right now).
Anyway, I was wondering what the right choice concerning amp would be. I realize the Beogram has a built-in RIAA, so I could couple it up with any amp seamlessly. If I waas to go with a Beomaster of some kind, which one would be preferable for the particular loudspeakers, and alternatively, would using a standard hi-fi NAD amp be a better choice?
Thank in advance,
Frederik
The right choice is a Beomaster 6000 quad but this is probably not what you want! A BM4000 or 4400 would be an admirable choice though obviously your NAD would work. I doubt it would sound better though!

That's very much the answer I was looping for.
thank you!
Just, why wouldn't I want the beomaster 6000?
You DO want a Beomaster 6000 4ch.

Why?
Double post. Sorry!
The Beomaster 6000 is a wonderful device but is very complex and most advertised will need complex remedial work. The keys have a tendency to bend upwards and this is tricky to fix. There is a lot of stuff in the case and this leads to other problems. It is also very expensive!
Having said that, it is a wonderful looking device and matches the Beogram 6000 perfectly. It will also let you play quadrophonic records - both CD4 and SQ types though, don't tell anyone, but most quad records are rubbish!
I do actually have an unused Beomaster 6000 and remote but would suggest the 4000 or 4400 will be more useful and sound better!
devilfred: Why?
For the functions and the stunning looks,
How would it match a beomaster 5000?
It would work though through a tape connection and no remote for the record player. The BM5000 is a good receiver.
