Hi,

My Beovision 3 32" unfortunately broke down yesterday. It seems to be the picture tube. However, I have a spare one, but it doesn't have the surround module and RF modulator as the broken Beovision. Does any of you know, if I can just install the modules from the broken Beovision to the spare one? Does it need reprogramming or anything?

Thank you in advance!!

Best regards

Jakob

I would guess that no reprogramming is required but I am not at all sure!  Why not swap the modules and see what happens?

Others may object, but couldn't you also move the main TV EEPROM (6IC6) across to the 'new' set?

(And before you try all this - are you sure the tube is faulty? Symptoms?)

Installing the modules can without any problems.

The soundmodule is the easiest one, the RF takes a bit more work. Mind the tiny RF cable.

Hi Jakob,

Here a link to a specialist in Germany for a tube. Just in case once you need one.

Hej Jakob - I have same situation. Exactly. Is it difficukt to move the surround module from one beovision 3 to another ? I have no drawing, instruction or manual.

I thin k the modul is called dolby R digital module type 4003 (PCB32), Ive seen a picture of a package in E-bay, but can anyone have instructions ?

Søren (SirOne) - im dansih, so if possible i can also understand danish instructions

Hi Søren,

I'm also danish, but I haven't got any instructions in either english or danish. The replacement was indead very easy. I moved the Surround module and RF module. You only have to remove the backplate of the television (4 screws) and then unscrew the module. The surround module has 1 cable attached and the RF module 2 cables. Both with very easy access. The IR module was sitting on the back site of the motherboard (?) and was difficlt to access. The RF module I only removed from the brokes television.

Best regards

Jakob
