Hi all. I'm moving home soon and will be doing some work on the new place so I am going to install an electric projector screen well the work is being done. I am planning on using a beovision 7-40 as the everyday tv wall mounted with beolab 8000s as fronts wall mounted. I will probably use beolab 6000s as rears unless anyone has any other suggestions? Maybe 4000s or another set of 8000s? It's the centre speaker I cannot decide about I like the look of the beolab10 although this is a mono speaker am I correct? Then there's the 7.2 or the 7.4? Which would people recommend regardless of looks?? I have searched for people's views and can't find a single thread about them? We're they a flop? Any help, views, opinions appreciated
thanks in advance

You are correct that the BeoLab 10 is a mono speaker. I have a surrounds system with Beolab 8000s as the fronts, Beolab 8000s as the sides, BeoLab 6000s as the rears, a BeoLab 2 subwoofer, and a BeoLab 10 for the center channel speaker. I love the BeoLab 10. It keeps up nicely with the sound of the BeoLab 8000s. Also, it doesn't stick out very far from the wall. While you asked for a review aside from the aesthetics, I still must remark that the BeoLab 10 creates a unified look mirroring the triangular base of the BeoLab 8000.While the BeoLab 10 is rather large for a center channel, it really does disappear and seems to add an aesthetic balance with a wall-mounted flatscreen. I would recommend the BeoLab 6000s for the rear speakers as the rear speakers really need less quality than the other speakers in a surround setup. I've considered replacing them with BeoLab 8000s as the rears to create a completely matching surround speaker system, but it just seems like such a waste to use the 8000s for the rear. I prefer the 4000s to the 6000s in sound, but the 6000s seem nice as they so visually disappear and are so easy for placement. Before getting the BeoLab 10, I used two BeoLab 4000s for the center channel, but they just couldn't match the sound of the BeoLab 8000s that were used for the front speakers.
I, too, plan on a B&O surround sound system. I, too, am unsure what substantial difference there is between the BL 7-4 and 10. I see that the BL 10 has a slightly deeper bass response vs. the 7-4. I take it that this is because the former has a greater cabinet volume.
As a general rule, I think it's best not to have drivers aligned horizontally due to differing distances from the drivers to the listener.

Hi thanks for the replies. I am now waiting for the press release for this new surround sound before making any decisions. Now I am going to start looking into projectors and electric screens. I know projectors have come a long way and are unbelievably clear these days. Does anybody have any rocomendations? Would b and o recommend a certain one? Also screens is there good ones and also ones to avoid? Chances are I will also be needing a lift for the projector so that it pops out of the ceiling when in use and back in when not. Again does anybody have any recommendations along with any to avoid? Thank you all in advance . Cheers
epson and jvc do some cracking projectors, b&o usually say sim2 for projectors,
