Beoworld Members,

Please be informed that Beoworld's bankers made a decision last year to move to a new credit card payments technology which required us to re-code a part of the Beoworld web site to allow credit card payments for membership renewals to continue as they currently do now.

I have now completed this work and test transactions have been done successfully, but I need to change us over to the new system during this period (about 6 hours) no credit card transactions can take place. The schedule planned is as follows:-

• From Wednesday 20th March 2013 at 7am UK time you will NOT be able to make membership renewals by credit card from the Beoworld site for about 6 hours.
• Between 7am and 9am UK time the switchover at Beoworld will take place.
• At 9am UK time I will inform HSBC that we have changed over to the new system
• Between 10am and 12:00 noon UK time HSBC will confirm back to me that we are now correctly connected to the live payments server.
• Once I have received confirmation back from HSBC, the moderating team will make some test credit card transactions.
• If all goes according to plan, the system should be live and back available ay 13:00pm UK time

All credit card transaction via the Beoworld web site use 128 bit encryption using GeoTrust SSL encryption technology

The amount of work this has involved is immense and we are all incredibly grateful for the work Keith has put in. It is fair to say that he is the one truly indispensable member of the team!
