Hello,

first i must say, that i´am completly new to B&O products. The only thing that i own is the Beosound 8 iPod Dock, but there is no need to configure anything ;)

Yesterday i helped a friend of mine to configure his Beomaster 5 and his new BEO6 Remote. I used the Config Tool 6.00.02 and everything worked fine. The only thing that i can`t get to work are the physical buttons under the touchscreen of the Beo6 remote. They are working only when i´am in the near of the infrared receiver. But when i´am in a different room, i can only control the CDs in the Wifi Communication.

Is it also possible to controll the beo5 with the physical buttons, like volume, forward/backward, on/off and so on, with the use of wifi instead of infrared?

And is it also possible to send different infrared protocols than B&O. For example: to control his LG TV

I also wonder, that i only have a two way communication for CDs and not for Radio. Is this normal?

Hi there,

I believe from my reading and use of my Beo6 with BS5 and BV10 that these are as designed. All operations on the touch screen are wifi while all operations on the "ball" are IR so will not work out of IR range.

Two way is only for N.MUSIC on my setup too and as far as I have read.
