Hello there,
I was recently bite by the collection of B&O products after having experienced top-notch B&O complete system owned by my danish mother in law...
So, in a the chnce to collect here in France some pieces of equipement including :
- Beolab 5000
- Beomaster 5000
- U70 Headphones
- Beomaster 901
- Beocord 1900
- Beocord 1101
- rl-65 Speakers
These equipements are in various condition and shape, and I need some advice for each of them, I hope you guys can help me :
- Beolab 5000 : I tried it at the sellers place : it sounds great no particular problem foreseen but the fact that the volume lettering disapeared (comon issue...?) and that the cover looks being teak, and my beomaster case is made of rosewood wich I love... : anybody intersted in a swap...?
- Beomaster 5000 : Just lovin' it
- U 70 headphones : I get them mint and boxed (with guarantee and original bill dated 1978 !), nothing to say but that I suspect them being some of them best headphones I ever had the chance to use....
- Beomaster 901 : Not working... This piece occupy my nights (details in a thread I opened in the workbench area)
- Beocord 1900 : looks mint, but I still couldn't try it as I do not own cassettes anymore...
- Beocord 1101 : missing perspex but looking great (not tryed neither...)
==> I don't think I'll keep these two Beocords, I'll soon let you know, when I'll have tryed them
-Rl-65: A little disapointed by the 'coldness' of the sound, compared to my current KEF carlton II... But My project is to hang them on the ceiling, maybe I'll change my point of view ....
