Hi everyone just purchased a beomaster 3300 with cd, tape and record player. The cd's play great and the tuner is cool.

But the problem is with the record player the sound is muffled, I have tried my 5500 beogram which i know is good, so its not the needle or player, so im guessing its the preamp inside the system.I am based in the uk and would like any input into the situation, dont want to by pass the preamp and lose the tape deck.

I can use a soldering iron and multimeter  if that can help.

or is it a earthing problem?

  please help

Steve
