Hi,
Is Beolink Passive something that is still available?
Also do you have to use the built in amplifier or is there a way around that so I can use my own amp and still be able to have it attached to the rest of my B&O network?
If you just want a power amplifier, you can use other amps - the BL Passive obviously has the switching and the ability to attach an eye though as the MCL/ML converter. The Quad 405 has a DIN input that would suit a B&O system.

I was thinking more like I'd like to be able to use my tube amp, but still have the source selections and whatnot come from the B&O head unit in a different room. Currently, I have it on an Apple airport express but if I want it playing the same iTunes music as N.Radio on the BS4 in the main room, I have to get up and walk over to the BS4 to turn the system on or off.
Barring that I could suck it up and use the Passive and get some speakers or just get an active and some B&O speakers but I'd really like to use my tube amp.
First world problems, I know.
You would need the BeoLink Passive - connected through ML to your main system in the other room - for that.
Look at 'Sounds Heavenly' for the right cables - or send Steve a mail.
Link is just below.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
So this cable into a BeoLink Passive?

From the main room via ML to the BeoLink Passive in the link room - and from PL-out to your amp.
UPDATED - 18.02: of cource I meant the BeoLink Active - sorry for that!
That it how it goes.
To be quite sure, send a mail to Steve and describe your setup.
He usually gives a quick answer.
Notice! Steve writes: "just leave the volume on the non-B&O amplifier set at or near to its maximum level"
surely it needs a BL 'active' in the link room, then Steve's lead to the non-B&O amp? (The PL socket on the Passive is only an input)
Hi Guy,
one should always look closely to what was written, before posting
Thanks for correcting.
Greetings MM
Ahhhhh of course! Active! Very good, thanks!
