Hi
Its my first time posting on here so be gentle please. Ive 2 Beocom 6000's (mk1s) with an original Pyramid PSTN base station. I just took delivery today of a preowned Beocom 5 to use with this system. Ive been through the advice in the other threads which helped to get the Beocom5 registered with the base (resetting the pin to 0000 and making sure the oldest handset was registered first).
Now I have the beocom5 registered and the common phonebook downloads to it, but I cant make or answer calls on the handset. If I try to make a call it says line busy. If I try to answer the incoming call on it, it just stops the ringer but doesnt pick up.
Any ideas on how to solve this. I sensing this could be a software level issue on my Pyramid maybe.
Just to add my software levels are
Pyramid pstn is on 2.20
both beocom 6000 handsets are on 044-2.10
beocom 5 2.40

This would suggest that they are incompatible: http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/3752/33730.aspx#33730

Well that would explain it :(
The mk2 telephones need to be upgraded to work with bc5, guessing the mk1 can also be upgraded.
Please do not do anything other than that suggested by B&O Service. The pyramid sw needs to be a minimum of sw level 2.5, the phones are fully compatible and need to be presented to a Service Center for reprogramming.
Thank you all for your advice and comments. Most helpful. With such an old set up it makes sense a software update was in order here. Best I sort out an alternative phone and get it sorted.
Thanks again

Thank God for this forum !!! This tip of the 0000 pin code worked, finally (after three months of cursing and calling B&O dealers) of why I couldn't add my two beocom 5 to my PSTN MKI base station (kept saying Registrering wait ...)
I now have a perfect integrated system with four beocom 2 MK1 and two Beocom 5, internal calling with handset names, integrated phonebook. Picking up works. Occasionally a BC5 mentions " Base not found" but I can live with that, also with the obsolete Beoline 2 .
Thanks again !
