Hey!

I´ve tried to find a solution on the forum about my BS century but without success so far so here goes.

My BS door closes very very slowly to the point that i have to help it close interely, same problem when opening.

I´ve removed the door, the casette plastic, and the metalpart holding the glass and cleaned and lubricated the rail, little but not enough improvement.

I´m wondering if the motor is getting slow, dying, is it possibel?

Or is there any way you could trim or adjust the motorpower?

I had the speakerfrets removed and analysed the wheelturning while opening the door and got confused. The belt that runs around the little and big wheel stopped but the little wheel kept on spinning after door closed and it was oiled, should these parts be oiled or should there be friction there? How do i know if the belt is too loose and should be replaced?

I´m a bit interested in what hides behind the motorplastics but i´m a bit afraid to take it apart as i most likely will destroy something, or is it a easy desamble?

Would be grateful if someone could inlighten me in the world of the Century (:

A drive belt replacement would be the first to do.

Thanks for the tip, didn´t replace the belt but, to dificult for me.

I notised that previous owner had oiled the drivebelt so i took a piece of paper and turned the big wheel while holding the paper as tight as possible to the drivebelt without stopping thr rotation and got it dried.

This made it work better but i don´t know for how long. Believe the belt needs replacement as said.
