Hi forum people,

i wonder if anyone can help me with a CPU board for a beomaster 7000. This is the circuit board behind the front pannel covered by metal casing. I had a problem with my beomaster as it wont connect to a beolink 7000 so after i have tried everithing with the remote i decided to take the beomaster apart as well. (bad ideea). I have changed the caps in the psu and cpu and after i put all back.....everything died!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no standby no more sound all you can here is the clicking from the relays when plugged in. I relised that when i changed the caps i have used a cheap soldering iron that connects directly to the mains and im guessing that this killed the board electro static. :((( il be trying a new proc next week as i ordered one from ebay but if any one can help  me with a proc bord il appreciate.

best regards Vick

Start with the easy things first, and check continuity. Also check that you soldered in the caps the right way. Make sure all connectors are put back in the right place.

What Johan just said.
Check also the 5V supply to the processor module.
Some processor modules have a fuse too. I don't remember if the 7000 is one of them.

Thanks for the replay gents,

i have a 5,2V suply to the processor so its ok .The caps r soldered in the right way,and the fuse is fine as well. I have noticed that the proc is getting a bit worm after about 5 minutes.

Thank you!

Victor.

News update!

I have managed to fix the fault. A 1.5 ohms resistor that was powering up a +40 suply was blown (R10)

All sweet now and fully refurbished, links perfect with beolink.

Thank you beoworld!
