Hi
I have a Beosystem 3500 with Beolab 8000's connected and a Beovision 7. Unfortunately my Beolab 7.1 is not functional at the moment so it doesn't figure into the setup I want.
Basically I want the Beolab 8000's connected to the Beosystem (connecter through AV/TV) with the Beovision 7 connected using the Beolink convertor. If I connect the 8000's to the Beovision...everything works fine, if I connect the 8000's to the Beosystem I am unable to get the sound from the Beovision to come through!! How do I fix this? I have tried many of the options.
I want the 8000's to be connect to the Beosystem because to me the sound quality is much better than when it passes through the Beovision.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ben
If you connect BL8000 to your BS3500, set BS3500 to A.OPT 2 and your BV to V.OPT 0. Now all commands - audio and video - should be detected by your BM3500. Selecting any source should activate the BS3500 and connected Beolabs.
Hope this helps.
Stefan
Hi Stefan
Thanks for your help. The sound comes through now but now no picture on the Beovision???
Any suggestions?
I'd set the BeoVision to "V.OPT 1" and the audio system to "A.OPT 1"
Pressing eg "TV" (or any other video source) will turn on the pictureSelecting "AV" fron "LIST" and then pressing eg "TV" (or any other video source) will turn on the the audio system and send the sound to the speakers connected to it.
Thanks Vienna
It seems to be working. Only thing is the tv will display tv or dvd for while after everything has been switched off. Screen is off etc......I am just going to use it like that I think
My suggestion is a temporary workaround, it's not a perfect solution

"long standby/off" = pressing the "red dot" for several seconds will put the whole A/V system as well as all link rooms to standby.
Very clever...works perfectly!! Thanks so much!!
I have a simular setup (BS4500, BL8000). I have a BV7-32 in the bedroom and want to connect them together.
Questions:
-Can I use a 1611 Converter?
- Do I need to connect the powerlink as well as the AUX-link (what is the difference between Powerlink or not)?
- What options do I have to set on BM4500 and BV7-32?
Thanks in advance! :-)
