Hello all

I have the above setup and it works fine, with a couple of exceptions.

I cannot find the correct button(s) on my beo4 that produce the same as pressing the opt+ button on my humax remote handset. I can't use the humax remote  as the box is hidden away.

Does anyone have a button map cross reference for beo4 and this stb?

i'm aware not all functions may be supported but this particular button is part of record delete so I'm hoping there is a solution.

many thanks

I have a BV3 with the same Humax STB, but have never needed the Opt+ button.  What exactly are you trying to do by pressing it?  There are other ways to delete recordings.

Hello Guy

one example, go to guide, then schedule., and  displayed are program's or series for future recording, the bottom of the screen says press opt+ to delete.

i can't see another way to do that?

thanks

I see what you mean.  Unfortunately I have recently changed my FOXSAT to a non-FREESAT satellite and the recording facility is not currently working, so I cannot look for a solution using the Beo4.

However, I am running different firmware on my FOXSAT, namely 'Raydon's Media and File Server Bundle' which is obtainable from the link half way down this page:  http://myhumax.org/blog/?page_id=166  (Version 4.0.8 is the latest).  This enables you to manage the FOXSAT from a PC over your home network, including editing the recording schedule.  You may find that this is a suitable workaround, as long as your FOXSAT is connected to your network.  I find that this software works very well, and you do not lose any of the other functionality.

Thanks Guy

I'll look at that - everything is connected here.!  However the wife wants a one remote solution and can't see why this function does not have a button! So if anyone else has any ideas I'd love to hear them!

I have emailed my dealer also so maybe, just maybe....  If I get anything I'll update this thread

Thanks

I use a Foxsat HDR with a BC6 26 and Beo4. I'm afraid I've not been able to find a key combination for Opt+ and, as you point out, there are a few actions (such as deleting sheduled recordings) you only seem to be able to manage using it. I think either B&O did not realise the significance of the Opt+ command or (more likely) they simply ran out of mapping options.

I resort to using the Humax remote on the few occasions I need to use Opt+, which is not too much of a problem as it is pretty rarely required and I can just about hit the Foxsat box from my preferred viewing position (have you noticed how directional the Humax remote is?).

If you come up with a get-around using the Beo4 please do post it.
