Hi

I have a BS5 working as audiomaster, but I Wonder if it would be possible to add a BM1 to my ML system and connect it to my BV8-40 TV (which is in a link room)? The BM5 is connected to my BV7 in the main room.

My idea is to be able to select N.RADIO in a link room while my wife listen to i.e. RADIO (another channel) in the main room.

Thanks.

Beomedia 1, the model before we got BM5.

I ask because you can get them quite cheap now.

Alright - reading BM always triggers something with MASTER by me.

Not a bad idea....in the first moment.

Are you sure your wife wants to turn on the tv and navigate just to hear a Radiostation???

How about using an iDevice and the ATV.

The Apple-PUC is not nessesary for a start - just beam the choosen Radio-station via AirPlay to the ATV.

Choosing AV before the 'Source' lets you hear the sound without turning on the panel.

Just an idea!

Hi

I would prefer the BM1. I can get it quite cheap and we do very often let the link tv browse thru the Photos on the BM5 (we have 20.000 photos) and it does work very well and very fast. But the resolution of the Photo is not that good due to link and that is why I considered attaching the BM1 to my BV8-40 link TV and connect it using VGA.

And by having the BM1 I could also use the N.RADIO in a link room, if this is possible.

I did also thought that I would have to use an analog connection of a device to my BV7 in order to use it in a link room?

I would consider it possible.

You can have 2 of the "same sources" on the ML.

If you choose the one connected to the linkroom-tv, just choose N.RADIO.

If you (in the linkroom) want the one from the mainroom, choose L-N.RADIO.

Should be the way to do it, I suppose.

Looking forward to hear of your experiences, if/when you get the BeoMedia.

In order to get N.RADIO and N.MUSIC working on a BeoMedia you need an audiomaster like a BS9000, BS3000 or BS4. If it's connected to a Beovision you can only access it via PC on your screen. And having the Beomedia and a BM5 on the same ML doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Besides that, I think adding a dedicated media player wired with hdmi to view photo's wil give you a lot better picture than the BM5 or the Beomedia with vga.

DoubleU is right - I now recall.

The only way you can use the BeoMedia solo, is to access the menu with 'PC' and then choose from there.

That way it will be too complicated for daily use, and I can only repeat my suggestion from above:

Get an ATV/iDevice combo and airplay the radiostations (and the fotos) to the tv in the linkroom.
