Hello there,

Last week I got a beocenter 7007 with two beovox s75 speaker. I connected the speakers to the beocenter with a 2p DIN cable (male and female endings). When I turn on the beocenter on the radio tuner I get a really low sound out of the boxes and this is when I have the beocenter on maximum volume. When I connect my Beogram cd player to the beocenter I get the same low sound, when I connect my ipod to the beocenter I also get a low sound.

The thing is that when i put my ear next to the speaker every component of the box (bass, treble, tweeter) seems tot work.

It sounds like a lion that wants tot be uncaged. It sounds like the volume is limited or something.

I'm really looking forward to hear what it's capable of.

Can anybody help me out?

Hi,

Under the lid there are switches to activate the speaker outputs, one for Speaker 1 and one for Speaker 2. Are the correct one depressed?

Just a thought. And remember to turn down the volume before trying anything!

I don't remember if this Beocenter has the preamp blinding-plug in the connector bay ?
It could also be the muting circuit.

I've read something about that before. But what is a preamp blinding plug? Is that supposed to connect with the 7p din 'Line in/out' exit?

The blinding plug is typically a round grey dummy-connector that plugs in to establish a contact from
the output of the preamplifier to the output stage.
It's here to allow you to connect external filters/equalizers etc. and to take out/ put in signals to/from other
sources.
Line in/out sounds like the place to find one inserted.

There is nothing inserted in that exit. Is a blinding plug har to find?

No. But you can also use a normal 5-pin male DIN plug and connect pins
1-3 (left channel)
4-5 (right channel)
and insert it.

You can see the original type of plug inserted here:

Hi,

I have the exact same problem with a 7007 that i have just got hold of. Did you get it sorted as I would be over the moon if this is fairly easy to get sorted,

Thanks,

Rob.

Rob,
Make a plug as described above and fit it to the line in/out socket.

Can you tell if it has the blinding function of looping ins and outs together ?
Or let us see a photo ?
