Hello fellow B&O lovers,
I'm visiting Copenhagen with my girlfriend in June. Now, for those who live there or have been there, can you recommend places where we should go to?
I'm also curious about visiting B&O related places. Struer seems too far away from Copenhagen to visit in a short time period.
So is there a nice B&O shop or museum in Copenhagen we should visit?
And how are the prices, is it cheaper to buy B&O in Denmark in stead of Belgium for instance?

The store in the Østergade, that Weebyx is talking of, is the store we all know from the B&O website about the new store concept.
I have been there several times. Very friendly people, giving me a really impressive demonstration of 3D on a BV4-85....!
There is also a Beo store in Hellerup with a great 7.1 setup including a Kaleidoscape system.
If you are still looking for a place to live during your trip, I can highly recommend Rungstedtgaard. It`s a bit outside of Copenhagen, about 100m from the beach. http://www.rungstedgaard.dk/
If you are interested in danish design, the danish design museum is a must.

Some good suggestions already in the thread.
If you are into fine dining restaurants there is Noma which has been awarded the best restaurant in the world a couple of years in the row now. It´s probably fully booked already.

Then there is a nice cocktailbar that is named Ruby that serves great drinks. From the outside you would not know there is a bar inside that building.

If the weather is nice then don´t miss out Nyhavn. It´s not far from the far end of the shopping street Strøget. There are a lot of restaurants and bars where you can sit outside and have a nice time in the sun.
I normally stay here when in Copenhagen, older hotel but good service and a good bar, near to nearly everything, walking distance from the train station.
If you go by car, beware, parking in the center may cost as much as a hotel room, I never use my car in Copenhagen, the local transport system gets you everywhere fast
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

if you are visiting København of cource you will have to visit the new Bang & Olufsen store in Østergade (Strøget near Kgs. Nytorv).
Once you are there (apart from Illum as already suggested) stay away from Strøget. Walk the small sideways and the parallel-streets instead - much more interesting, in my opinion.
Take notice of the suggestions in the other posts as well!
As far as recommending places to eat, it is a bit more complicated - since I don't know how much you can spend /are willing to spend.
Noma is not the cheapest place to eat - and you would have to make a reservation long before you want to go there.
Eating/drinking is expensive in København, so - if you don't have a lot to spend (or prefer to spend it on B&O), look a bit outside the center (Østerbro/Nørrebro).
Actually there are some good places to eat in Christiania or in the nearby Christianshavn.
If you like good beer, look for some of the 'micro-breweries' http://www.nelso.dk/dk/koebenhavn/mikrobryggerier/ (you can also eat at most places).
Or visit the http://www.bishopsarms.com/K_benhavn/Presentation - lots of beer and whiskey.
If you like good coffee, it will not be hard to find places where people love coffee and know how to make good coffee:

Struer is far from København - if you want to go there plan 2 or 3 days for the trip - visiting the B&O museum there is a joy.
In Struer you can eat and drink good beer at a resonable price in "Pingvinen".
By the way, let your car rest while you are in København - use the bus/S-tog and your feet.
You can easily reach the 'Hellerup B&O-store" by bus.
And remember quite a few shops opens late and closes early - I always wonder have they manage to sell anything?
Buying B&O-stuff is not cheaper than elsewhere - unless you are able to make a good deal in one of the smaller shops.
You could look for the new headphones - please tell us afterwards if you are/were able to get them cheaper in KBH than in Belgium.

Mille has a lot of good advice. If you stay in the center of city, maybe Palace Hotel, just at the Town Square, you are in walking distance from Strøget, museums, Nyhavn (15 min.), and more, and just 5 min from Vandkunsten, a small square with some 10 restaurants and bars, all small and with modest prices (nothing is really cheap in Cphg) and there you will also find Søren's Værdshus, Restaurant and bar, as I am their best customer, they named it after me

I was there some 2 weeks ago - could easily go there again....
....but life is different.
København is my 'hometown' - I was born there and lived untill I was 21 - and feel 'at home' everytime I am there.

A last one, just to cheer you up, to the left side of Søren's Værdshus, there is a restaurant located in a basement (cellar), serving Flæskesteg med Rødkål, (Pork roast, danish Christmas meal) brune kartofler og sprød svær, year around.
At least now - for Benjamin a trip to København is a must-go-there 🍺🍛🍴☕

While it wasn't in DK, I had a very similar experience. While in Berlin in 09, I found myself in a deserted city and no idea why... I had that feeling of the last man on Earth!
Cars parked everywhere, snowed in, no tracks... Looked like no one had been there in days! Very odd.

Check out the 2nd hand B&O store on "Gammel Kongevej" : http://www.bbuy.dk/If you want to buy some second hand gear while in DK, check out www.dba.dk (ebay affiliate), but you will probably need a car for that. Most of us Danes do speak English, so an email or SMS will break the ice.
Btw Gammel Kongevej is great for a walk and some shopping and cafés too.

If you are looking for a B&O related deal in Copenhagen, I have an unused Atlona HDMI expander, and a used Beolink Passive, I need neither.
I live in a new area just outside downtown called Ørestad, you're welcome to pay me a visit, buying or not;)
