Meh...my Panasonic looks better and it isn't attributed to a world class designer like Jensen. I think the Philips sheet of glass TV is one of the most stunning looking TVs I've seen in a while, despite not being suitable for my design needs. I can still appreciate the style though.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

I don't get it. Is that the right link? Looks like every TV made in the last 10 years.

Agree, maybe a Jensen (common danish name) design, but not Jacob.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

You're probably thinking about Timothy Jacob Jensen.  Smile

I think he is doing most if not all of the designs for Jacob Jensen Design now. It says here

" The company is now run by Timothy Jacob Jensen with Jensen working as a senior adviser."

Nothing special !! Good for Jacob Jensen Design but the new Philips TV design line 2013 is more creative and interesting.

Very common - sometimes you even see both names together.  High-end Danish Design furniture store near me that makes me think of you-know-who every time I walk past it.

It looks like another generic piece of mass-produced plastic to me. I'll stick with my V1 any day. I'm not sure what that 'shame about bno' remark is founded on - I think their last few products have been fantastic, from a design and functionality POV.

That is pathetic! Watching someone cannibalising his fathers name and work is quite painfull. Grrr! MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Not the first time in history a big brand collaborates with a famous design name to sell their products.

Agreed. Nothing special. It's hard to make a large, flat, glass surface interesting. I think B&O does a great job in general.

Not Bang & Olufsen but David Lewis the english Designer. Hoping that B&O will collaborate with David Lewis Designer group in the future. Torsten Valeur is the manager designer now !

For anyone who missed it, it's halfway down the Richer Sounds page:

"SUPERIOR DESIGN

Designed by the world renowned Scandinavian Jacob Jensen Design, the 47VL963b offers sleek style often missing from rivals. Highlights of the design include a single sheet glass front, slim profile bezel and stylish matte finish with an eye-catching, black sandblast design."

From the truly awful Jacob Jensen Design website, Timothy is thinking of the future.......

Or you can start with their homepage if you want to spend the morning staring at trendy moving blank areas and postage stamp size images evidently loved by this design house.
