Hi all.

I am considering buying my first new BV. But i am having some difficulties to make my mind up if i should buy an BV10 or an BV11.

I am thinking to use it in an ML setup and my dealer has given me a great offer on an BV10-46..

Wink

My observation would be that a recent BV10-46 should share the same panel as a BV11-46, so the difference picture quality will be relatively minor.

The BV11 offers improved audio. It's much better than the BV10. But the BV10 offers ML and if you have a great offer on a recent BV10-46, I'd go with this option.

If ML is impotant for you and you like the new BV11, you can also add the new NL/ML converter (about €700).

As moxxey suggested, the BV10 would be cheaper to purchase and is also excellent.

Go for a BV 10. BV 11 have Softwareproblems - my Dealer is not amused. For me 'Smart-TV' is nonsens.

Hi Normann

I have just trialled an 11-46 as i already have a 10-46. As Moxxey says the picture is slightly improved although the "movie" mode is unique to the 11 and is THX certified(whatever that is) but its good. The sound is much improved, and in my quest to have a one stop TV which doesn't need extra speakers the 11 trumps.

There are some nice sound modes as well, which for me personally will be very useful. It's also 3D capable and like everyone else i was very sceptical about this. In reality it's very impressive and at least, nice to have as a novelty.

If you already have a speaker setup, i would go for the 10 for its picture and good sound. If the TV is stand alone and you need great sound, do some overtime and get an 11.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I do have a pair of Beolab 8000 and i was thinking of using these as front speakers..

So the BV10 isn't delivered with 3D? Is this just as you say a novelty or useful?

My kids love it, and considering these things cost so much money I'd be happier with it.

The 8000's make great front speakers. Add a 2 and your ready!

I have both TVs and I would go with the BV11.

The picture, sound and connectivity are definitely better on the BV11 and make it (at least in my opinion) the best B&O TV so far. The only drawback is the missing ML. Even with the NL/ML converter, it does not work as well in a  ML setup as the BV10.

Beovision 11-55, Beovision 10-46, Beovision 7-40, Beocenter 6-23, Beosound 9000, Beolab 18, Beolab 19, 2xBeolab 3, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 2, Beocom 6000, Beosound 3, Playmaker
