Hi,

today I received an invitation for the presentation of the new Surround Sound System at May 15th 2013. It includes a free download from the B&O website of a song from the soundtrack of Les Miserables. You'll get the whole soundtrack in Blu Ray quality as well as demoing it on the new system attending the event.

Must be the expected Beolab 14 system? Anybody else got one? What about other countries, got a different date or Invitation?

Kind regards,

Rolf

Official launch in London - and should be presented in the Bang & Olufsen shops on the same day.

Several events are planned: YouTube, Facebook, Bang & Olufsen homepage and more..

Greetings Millemissen

I've seen indepth details of the new beolab 14 system in the training manual at my dealer.

There will be two versions. One with integrated surround decoder, one without decoder for use with external decoder from different brands

The subwoofer will look like Beolab 9 without the ALT unit on top, but I can't remember what the other speakers will look like.

This is what my dealer and I asked us too. This is not mentioned. Only the product description you posted above and a shematic draw with dimensions of all the speakers.

Do you know if Beolab 14 will sell as a packaging or it will be possible buy it separately? I mean if it is possible to use them in combination with a front Beolab 8000, for example.

Beovision 10-46, Beocenter 1, Beo 4, Beocom 4, Beolit 12, Beosound 4, Beosound Essence, Beolab 6000

What they are certain to create is half a dozen similar threads complaining about the design, use of plastic, country of origin and first of all price - like every new product. Stick out tongue

SmileSmileSmile I´m really looking forward getting it demoed. I´m not so sure about the price discussion (compared to B&O price range). My dealer told me that it will be less than Beolab 2 price for the whole system, at least in my country. Judgement certainly is depending on performance, function and connectivity and always personal perception, however in total you´ll get a surround system including a subwoofer, not only a single speaker.

Kind regards,

Rolf

I'm afraid so - i can't release information before Bang & Olufsen have had the opportunity to launch the product to the world themselves in what should be an exciting and interesting event!

Fair enough!

We will wait for the/another bird to whistle Whistle

But as far as i remember, you wrote something about combining a set of existing frontspeakere with the new 14.4 set...

...and that sounded interesting - but I may have misunderstood it.

12 days to go...

Have you seen an actual finised product BeoLab 14? Clearly not if you think they look like that. Wait till you see it, then judge for yourself?
