Hello everybody

When I plug a pair of beolab 6000, the playmaker doesn't go on standby after streaming audio file.

The light on the beolab 6000 stays green.

When I plug my pair of beolab 3, the light goes red because the beolab 3 always go on standby when they don't receive any sound.

Do you notice this problem with your playmaker ?

I have updated the playmaker. This problem occurs with an iphone or with an android tablet.

Assuming you're using appropriate PL-cables...

Maybe it's necessary to "completely terminate" the streaming process by selecting "iPhone"
as "airplay target" to shut down the playmaker.

Then the PM should send a "power off" to the speakers.

Can it be that the setup switch is put to line rather then left or right?

In that case the BL6000 wouldn't switch off if I understand that right

Hello

Thank you Vienna and Jk1002 for your answer.

Even when I switch to iphone during the streaming, speakers are still activ.

I know that the beolab 3 always switch off when no signal is detected, the 6000 don't do this unless they receive the command from the powerlink cable.

It seems that this command is not sent by the playmaker.

The rj45/powerlink cable come from a b&o dealer.

I intend to use this new playmaker with a pair of 6000 , so this is a problem.

I am stupid.

The beolab 3 were in line-in position.

When I stop the streaming and select the iphone output, then the beolab 3 go on stand by directly.

I have to check this with the beolab 6000.

Thank you very much for your help

The way this should work when the speakers are not in line  mode is via a 5 Volt current.

That means the Playmaker should send 5 Volt to the power link connected speaker, if that happens the speaker turn on an stay on until the 5 volt current is stopped by the playmaker telling the speaker to turn off. The line switch is turning this off, I think some speakers stay always on some speakers watch for a sound signal.

Your setup should work as you expect when the speakers are not in line mode, otherwise cable or playmaker might be defect and I would visit my dealer.

I have it with Beolab 4 and it works like a charm.

Cheers

JK
