Hi All

Does anyone know anything about the BC2300 DAB version ?

I have replace the laser in the cd player, and now the unit works 100%, however, I cannot control it via a Beolink 1000, it only responds to the Apple Newton (oh the horror, but it was 1995) :)

I actually happens to work with the guy who designed and programmed the unit in 1995, but he cannot recall if it also could be controlled by Beolink 1000.

The unit responds(by blinking with the std LED) when option programming, I have tried Sound-1(to4)-Store, but it will not accept commands from the Remote...

Anyone ??

Pretty sure it was Apple Newton alone. This was never really released to the public - a few 'fell off the back of a lorry'  and exist in the wild! I tried to buy one a few years ago but it was too expensive and has limited functionality. Doubt many others will have one so nice piece for the collection!

The "problem" is that in this photo where a complete set has been sold, there seems to be a Beolink 1000 in the set...

The person who gave it to me, also said they had used a remote once(she was 90% sure) but the remote is nowhere to be found, I am using a Beolink 1000 MKIII, but only the option programming seems to trigger the IR in the BC2300...

It was hung in a garage, filled with spiderweb and dust, and I almost cried when I saw it, but now it is fully operational and clean again, with new laser for the cd, except for the remote. The newton is not quite as nice as a remote :)

Ask B&O - a friendly email - maybe ask if Ronnie knows as he will be more likely to have an idea that most anyone else. He probably has one!
