Just got a message from my dealer that my 11-46 has arrived early. Jolly good news considering i'm actually off this time. For those interested i'll post a few pics and opinions. This is just outside the dealer with the ancient city walls in the background..

Cheers,

And in 3D!

Just watched Attenborough's Galapagos in 3D and it truly was fantastic. More than a gimmick or fad on this program at least.

A better picture all round with improved settings and better sound too.

Cheers everyone....now what's next?

Very nice Chris! Thanx for posting and sharing this Eagle with us.

Looks like the BV11-46 is at the same height as the BV10-40, what we discussed last night.

Enjoy your new Beovision. Do not stay too long inside with this beautiful weather.

When the 11-46 is on its motor stand, it's only a little taller than the 10-46 with a pedestal stand.

Big congrats and thanks for sharing.

Seing your first and last pics, bv 11 doesn't seems taller than bv 10.

Let us know the brand of your 3d glasses if they are non B & O.

Cheers,

Same here. I tried the remote a few times on the mini iPad, but always revert back to the Beo4.

Hi Moxxey,

using the BeoRemote does not mean that one should never again use the Beo4.

Maybe with the BeoRemote you have some possibilities, that you can't have with the Beo4 - or certainly will get in the next updates to come.

My advice: use both!

Greetings Millemissen

I've used it a few times and every time it's far easier and quicker to pick up the Beo4.

What's the point of finding the iPad, unlocking, locating the app etc, to switch between sources or control the TV? It's far easier on the Beo4, plus the same Beo4 full controls the Sky box too and Apple TV, which makes it a better universal device.

The BeoRemote is just one of those apps/devices where people *want* to use it as looks cool to control your TV from your iPad :)

I agree, - similar issue with using your phones, tablets etc. to control anything, yes you can but it's rarely better than a well thought out dedicated device.

Bring on a new MMC!

Ban boring signatures!

If B&O made a control app that was half as good as the Sky+ offering they would be onto a winner. It is slick, intuitive, it looks good, it performs better than the standard sky remote, and also works well remotely. All in my opinion obviously!

Just as an update, the anti reflex coating on the 11 is much more effective than that on my 10. And not just by a small margin too.

The 3D display whilst watching football, is hard to describe how effective it is. Roll on the Lions tour.

It's shockingly awful, that's what it is? :)

3D is just terrible. Putting those glasses on gives me a headache. The camera angle for 3D Premiership football is all wrong (much lower than regular camera angles) etc etc.

Just as an update.

The anti reflex screen is a lot more effective.

The picture is at times 50% better than my 10, and usually by say 20%.

I'm sat here watching Prometheus for the umpteenth time and I'm getting crackling from the speakers at times of bass. Opening scene in the Arctic Circle and when the space vessel is seen flying by. The sort of crackle you would expect a cheap speaker to make when it cannot cope. Sound setting "movie" and at volume 65! Any ideas?

The Beoremote App I find I don't even use when holding a mini IPad. The "smart TV" apps are all but useless.

Sounds like the speakers are crap. Makes sense , it's only a tv after all.

I've not heard any crackle or issues with my BV11 speakers and watched Prometheus over the weekend. No problems at all.

Turned out to be the quality of the Sky transmition, and not the crappy speakers on the TV after all!
