Hi Guys,
Sad news is that my local B&O dealership is closing and worse still is that Solly can not fix the recent problem. A really decent chap in the shop told me you guys could help.
The symptom are that the turntable will not switch off unless the mains power is turned off and the stylus arm does not move across and play records (well it does intermitantly) Solly (local dealership technician) traced and advised the problem as a mechanical cam/device that is worn, as opposed to electrical and the part is no longer available. Can anyone confirm that this is the problem and does anyone have a working version of this part available or tucked away gather dust and needs a new home.
After having the unit serviced and a new stylus from America it seems a shame to give up now as I've had this baby from new and everything else works (for now).
Any help or advice
I have a little of this and a little of that.Let me know which part(s) they need.
Martin
Martin,
You were the very person recomended by the guy I spoke to.
I have just found out that the technician is away until the end of the month. I hope to make contact with him then and then with luck he will remeber which parts are required. I will come back to you then.
Many thanks
You're welcome.
And welcome to Beoworld !
