hi all, have purchased an MMC4000 from ebay to get my turntable up and running, even though it's a bit battered, all functions seem to work o.k.

the belt is in situ and the motor turns but i thought i might as well get a new belt at the same time, are all the belts different or can i use a belt from a variety of similar models, many of the beograms from that era look remarkably similar, cheers

There are decks that share this belt but unless they are new, you won't know how old they are. Not very expensive - I would ask Martin to get me a new one.
