I have a few Beo4 and I always like the feel of a new one, they have such rough texture on the black paint. After a few months of use they gets more smooth and after years they almost get blank. Can I clean it with dish soap and get the rough feeling back or is it just the paint that gets worn down? I can imagine that it is grease that makes it more smooth in combination with the paint getting worn. Perhaps anyone here has a good idea? .Cleaning the top of the Beo4 is another matter, almost impossible to get dust of the rubber.

I'm sure the paint just wears.
For the rubber mat, you need to disassemble the remote and wash the keymat in as hot water as your fingers can take, with a little dishwashing detergent and help with an old toothbrush.
Be careful with the aluminum top plate, it is very soft metal.

Yes, we recently bought our third new b&o thing with a beo4 and I'd forgotten the texture of the remote is so nice and rough when new!
