Hi:
I have 3 Beocom 6000 phones (North American version) phones hooked up to 1 base station.
When I set it up for my parents a long time ago, I seem to recall when someone was on the phone, someone else could pick up the other handsets and listen/participate in the conversation.
The phone system was reset and now when someone is on the phone, and someone else picks up any of the other handsets, there is beep.
Does anyone know how to restore the setting so that the other handsets can break in?
Its a bit annoying right now because when someone picks up call that isn't for them, they have to walk the phone over to the other person.
Thanks for your help,
Derek
I am not sure that you could ever simply pick up another handset to break into a call.
On the European Mk1 version, simply press the 'dot' button and then the handset number to forward a call to a different handset on the same base station, and then press the 'phone' symbol when the other person answers.
I hope this helps!
I have had a quick look in the user manuals for the MkI & MkII models (available on here) and MkI does not seem to have a "conference" facility to connect all calls unless it is an internal call. MkII seems to have the facility to have a conference call including an external call. Neither model lets someone "dial in" to an ongoing call, whoever currently has the call can dial the other handsets and invite them to join.
Not sure if this will be the same for the US model.
