We've got a Cyrus ACA7 Pre amp connected to our BeoLab 8002. Unfortunately, even though it works we cannot get the potential power from the speakers. Has anybody got any ideas why not? Any help would be appreciated.
Steve
Would you tell us, how your preamp is connected?
Cyrus has different outputs with different levels as far as I know. BL8000 has Powerlink input and line in....
Stefan
The Cyrus is connected using the line input to the speakers, with RCA plugs on the Cyrus output.
As you can see in the manual the Cyrus outputs max. 380 mV via RCA - I think, BL8000 expects more than that:

So, I`d try the balanced output with 775 mV. You will have to short circuit pin 1 and 3 (negative and ground) because BL8000 inputs are unbalanced.
If your Cyrus is able to output a 4-5 V trigger signal you can use the Powerlink inputs of BL8000.
See http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/wiring2.htm
Hope this helps
stefan: If your Cyrus is able to output a 4-5 V trigger signal you can use the Powerlink inputs of BL8000.
And there are cables (RCA + Trigger) to Powerlink as well.Ralf
