Now we can clearly see that those speakers seems as flat as a BV11, so everybody complaining about the fact that it was an Elipson rip off were wrong...

As usual, real photos show something that look great and innovative, not like stolen pictures...

There is still some fear on my side concerning the sub : huge or not?

Maybe it's just me, but the recent B&O speakers all look very early 90s to me. This looks like something that you'd expect to see in Miami Vice:

Apologies for being negative, but I'm not overly impressed with that design.

I'd rather have 4 x BL3s!

Hihi, you can also see the front.

They are truly 90s but that does not mean that it is to bad.

With 4 BL3s I would know what I get, but anyways I am eager to hear the BL14s.

Probably the rivierenland dealer wanted to avoid being 'tracked' from big boss Bea in Struer for publishing the picture.

IMO worst looking speakers ever. The 90´s look does´nt do anything good for me. I would choose BL3´s anytime allthough i am aware that they are way more expensive. Looking forward to listen to the them though.

From the picture with the ones on the wall they look small and discrete when wall mounted, would be perfect for smaller living rooms.

Will they do just the sub as a stand alone product?

Beo-people are really odd - most of them (us) know all things better than the guys in Struer Confused

N.B. Could someone please tell how 'the 90's" look like?

The sub will be the most expensive part. Buy the set and sell the satelites for use with a MCL2P (or alike) as rear speakers/as rear and side speakers Whistle

I take it you mean me? The consumer who buys the products? Clearly not entitled to an opinion, then? Sad times when you can't give your opinion without someone - with a differing opinion - claiming you're wrong. I never realised you had to universally love everything B&O release or fill your home like a B&O showroom.

The 90's? Lots of chrome, blacks/dark colours, clean lines etc. Very much like photo above and the Danish concept store.

There are lots of things that work very well - the BV11, BL11, BL3s, etc. But some things look like a throw back to circa 1991 - BL12 is a good example. These surrounds on the floor stands, the same. However, I do think they look better wall-mounted.

Millemissen:

Grrr!

Indeed.

No Moxxey, I did not mean you (you are yhe positive guy) - was speaking in general. Even wrote 'us'.

"House full of B&O" not at all, I can't afford it.

I don't buy B&O stuff just for the sake of having it, but to enjoy music and video with superb picture/sound quality, to be able to control it with ease  - and I like the looks of my stuff even when 'it is doing nothing'.

And yes, in general I like what they are doing/has done in Struer.

They are not doing it just for me - that is why my personal opinion isn't that important on a forum like BeoWorld.

They must reach a lot of different costumers with different taste - they are doing that job well.

The B and O Facebook page on May 8th said one week until the new product is revealed, and Sunday said three days, so seems like tomorrow is the day. Sorry if that is old news. I just noticed it.

I wonder how these new speakers will act as pure audiospeakers like what we are used to.

Will visit the shop soon for a demonstration with different kind of music styles. I hope I can hear them next to a set of BL9's.

I cannot image that you will need two sets, one for surround, the other for pure music.

Yes BeoHut,

Very interested to hear how these new speakers will act as pure audiospeakers too.

2 BeoLab 14 and the Sub could be an alternative to a set of BeoLab3.

I like the look.

Do we know if they're going to be sold only as surround speakers (a set of 4 BL14 + 1 Sub) ?

I've heard a price of approx 4000 € ?

Also "clearly" shows that the wall speakers seem to stand out from the wall (left side of picture) and tilt (right side) although that could be an optical/camera illusion ... I like the apparent "glow" of the woofer, but for watching Prometheus I hope we can dim it Big Smile (& I hope it is not just spotlit by the photographer/room like the round seat/footrest is)

Are you sure ?

I am confused ...

is the subwoofer the white truncated Beolab 9 look-a-like next to the wall and to the right of the TV ?

or

is the subwoofer the large flat low circular leather-looking object (that I called a footrest) in front of the TV and next to the table ?

The satelites come with either floorstand/wall-ceilingmount/tablestand.

Yes:  of cource the sub is the 'white gowing thing' - but I suppose that it will come in different colours like satelites (maybe not as many).

Price (that I have hesard) in DK is 25000 kr - which is a little less than 3500 €.

I think this set is primarily for video-sound - but it will be interesting to hear it (tomorrow at 7pm) doing pure stereo.

The two sets will be identical - the 14.1.4 (for B&O tv's) with one speaker less in the box.

If that set then is sold for less, I doubt it???

-------

Update - see the Euro prices here:

http://www.audiovisie-goethals.be/producten/bang-olufsen

5.1: 3296€
4.1: 2995€

As I hoped for, the 14.1.4 set is a little bit cheaper.

-------

N.B. You lucky guys who already heard it - what was the source, music, video?

Was it Les Misserablés in a 5.1 mix?

Greetings Les Millemisserablés
