Hi all, I have an opportunity to buy a nearly new BS5 for the local equivalent of €1,800. Price is reasonable and the BS5 is in mint condition and under warranty, my concern is more whether it will add much to my setup?
Current installation is BV11-55 with Bl9's front and BL6000's rear in TV room with a BS9000 and BL8000's (all wall mounted) in the dining room (open plan with TV room). I also have a V1-40 in the main bed along with an A9 and have two BL3500's in the two other bedrooms. All but main bedroom is Master/Network Linked.
At present I mainly use a Mac running Plex connected to BV11 (and V1) as video / audio server. So my question is whether the BS5 will add value? It is very nice to look at, but will it significantly ease music distribution etc.
any thoughts?
With the upcoming possibilities to control it with the BeoRemote app (details not known yet!) maybe not a bad idea.
With some 'around working' you could even have Spotify running allthough you also have a BS9000 as audiomaster in your setup.
