I'm having issues with the power supply in my av9000. I'm getting white lines on the screen, and it switches off on its own after a few seconds. I don't want to scrap it, I'd rather restore it.....

Does anyone have a 220 or 240v power supply for an av9000????

In a CRT TV, the power supply circuitry comprises most of the main board, so there's really no easy way out by swapping any smallish units.

As far as I understand, the AV9000 monitor is very similar to MX6000 and would suffer from similar typical problems. Thus, the excellent workshop in the old forum should give you some idea of what you're up against if you want to have it fixed. Usually it'll be a number of bad caps, bad solders or most probably both. In any case it'll need a repairer with TV experience.

As advised by previous reply, the AV9000 does'nt have a seperate power supply. This model is a very reliable chassis, and well worth repairing. Are the white lines you describe, horizontal or vertical?

There are a couple of common problems that are easily solved by someone with experience of this chassis,I recommend that you find an Engineer with B&O experience to help you with this.It should'nt take him long or cost much.

Regards,

Nick
