I am wondering just how far one could stretch this system in a current B&O system set up.  For example, If I plugged it into my BV11, could you use 2 of the satellite speakers for the rear surround with my Lab 9's and the BV11 speakers providing centre, left, right and sub creating a 5.1 set-up.

Then could you place the left over BL-Sub AND 2 of the other satellite speakers in a completely different room for another 2.1 audio set-up.  All of this managed by the B&O app and incorporating an Apple TV.

It seems to me with how the high end B&O TV's can discretely pick and choose which speaker is doing what using the in-built surround sound processing, that this could be entirely possible.  Not sure the tiny satellites would be well matched to Lab 9's, but in the BV11 Audio control menu's it seems that you can selectively boost output at each speaker as desired.  I'm not sure there's much point in having the sub in the same room as the Lab9's as they have 4 times the power.

Another idea I thought of was putting 2 of the satellites on the ceiling for a 7.1 system and perhaps putting the BL14 sub way out the back of the room for some more rear bass?

Thought's please....

Yes. When you set the BeoLab 14s up with a V1 or BeoVision 11 you can assign the speakers as you see fit. As to whether a pair with the sub would make a suitable stereo setup, I'd urge you to listen to that in person. I think it sounds very good for what it is, but if you already own a BV11 and BL9s, I'd urge you to grab a pair of 12-2s or BL3s an maybe a pair of BL4s for rears for very similar money. You'd get a better stereo setup in the other room.

I think a more compelling use for someone who already owns a BeoVision and a good pair of stereo speakers is to round out the system with sides and rears and a sub. A very nice 7.1 system for a good price.

An other setup possibility:

If you don't want / need  a surround setup, but are using different positions for listening to music and watching TV
in the SAME room, you can share the sub. Simply connect eg PL-Front to the TV and PL-Rear to the audio system.

This will give you two nice  2.1 setups for both zones of the room ...

Yes It's possible but I'd also recommend some active rear speakers and even with a Beolab 2 if you think you are missing some low... The beolab 14 is a nice budget solution but not if you have a great setup like yours :)
