Hi All,

I am new to the forum, and I have a question:

I have recently obtained a superb Beovision LX6000 complete with Beolink 1000 Mk3 remote. It has the picture in picture module fitted. My problem is; I don't know which keys to press on the Beolink to activate the picture in picture function, and there seems to be little information anywhere about on this.

Does anyone know how to do it?

Thankyou.

Best regards

Mike

Not sure, but at a guess try SHIFT then PICTURE.  If this doesn't work, try SHIFT followed by a few other options - TV etc!  Good luck!

Hi Guy,

Thanks for your suggestion, but it doesn't solve my problem.

I have tried shift, then all likely relevent other keys, but to no avail.

The problem is that if several keys are involved, then there are literally thousands of combinations that may have to be tried before the right one is found.

Maybe someone out there has a similar set with the PIP module fitted?

Best regards

Mike

Have you tried: PLAY + 3 on your BL1000?

Try to press these keys short after another when your tv is on.

Otherwise I don't know the key-combination. Suc6!

Hi BeoHut,

Sadly no, that isn't it.

Hi,

I saw a picture on the net. Perhaps you can try these options.

See the instructions on page 12.

Hope it will work for your configuration.

The 'PiP' function could only be used if one had a B&O VCR and/or an integrated satelite module.

It was activated through pressing 'Picture' and the source you wanted? To see another 'tv program' in a small window/picture in one of the corners the tuner of the VCR was used - pressing 'Picture' followed by the 'TV' button.

You could swap the two sources with 'Picture' and '0'.

This means, that you need the LX6000 AND the VCR (and optional the sat tuner) to get this to work.

That is the reason for calling it a 'Video System' - the Video System 6000!

P.S. I once hat a MX6000/VX7000 Video System - It was 'state of the art' at that time :-)

Hello Millemissen and Beohut,

Thankyou for your help. The information you gave me was exactly what I need, and I now have working picture in picture on the LX6000.

I am very happy, as it was one of the features which made me buy the Beovision.

I am using both SCART sockets as well as the UHF input, and everything is working fine now.

I love this vintage B&O technology, I used to love to look at the televisions in my local dealers when I was a child, and I could never afford them,

it's great to have an LX6000 now!

I do like new equipment too, but I love the classic models.

Best regards

Mike

The really clever one was the VX5000 which allowed up to 16 pictures on screen if I remember rightly!! You needed an LX2800 rather than the LX6000 but the VCR was a riot! Still have one though not used it for years!

Hi Peter,

I had one of those - with the MX6000. Never used that function very much.

The VX7000 though was a far better machine.

It is still somewhere in the Basement...

...for better (or worse) days.

Greetings Millemissen
