Hi,

Someone gave me a nice MX 7000. It works great apart from the sound that is only coming from the right channel.

Ofcourse I looked if the balance was right. Where to start? Both the bass and treble do not work.

If I understand it right, there are separate amps for bass and treble.

Which remote do you use?

If you use a Beo4, select "Speaker" via List.and use the Arrow keys.

If you have a BL1000, press sound several times and use the volume buttons to adjust.

If it won't work, could probably some broken solderjoints I guess (It's been a while since the latest MX I repaired)

It has 2 amplifiers with each 2 active filters for Bass and Treble. On each side is a amplifier located. Vertically mounted above the chassis.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have Beolink 1000, but as I said I already checken the sound balance.

By now I also checked the headphone port. That one has both channels working. Does this mean the amps work?

The MX has seperate amplifiers for the headphone and speakers. So, if your headphone works, then apparently something is wrong with the amplifier for the specific speaker (bass and treble)

These are the ones to look for.

Check voltages, audiosignal, soldering etcetera.
