Explains why it's so boring I guess.

Since David lewis passed away what have they brought out that is in the same league as his or JJ's designs ?

NOTHING.

I thought the younger generation were so clever and cool - shame they're all useless at design. The play stuff is beyond belief - wtf is that round thing with wooden legs all about ? LOL

I agree with Playdrv4me , if bno stop actually making the stuff in Denmark ,what's the point of paying to dollar for the gear ? Bad idea imo. Where's the magic gone ?

Most of the stuff is made in Czech any how!

That is just the point!

Now they are moving the last part of the production - the tv's - to the Bang & Olufsen factory in Czech.

We are talking only production - and 75 guys, who either loose their jobs, get another in Struer or are retiring.

I see no big loss in quality because of that!

Apart from the fact that some of my friends may loose their job, I really do not care if the production is in Denmark.

As long as the products are MADE/developed in Denmark and controlled from Denmark, we will still have genuine Bang & Olufsen products.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

MOst of  brands arround the planet are nowdays developed/engineered/designed in their motherlands, but made in China. And they are more or less crapy. Attention to details and magic factory from the fields of Danemark made that magic. At least for me. It can not be genuin anymore. Not for me.

Yes I know. That's why I mentioned using high quality components. Phones are only meant to last a short while so inexpensive components are used but B&O shouldn't be skimping if they want the longevity of the 1970-90s gear.

Present: BL90, Core, BL6000, CD7000, Beogram 7000, Essence Remote.

Past: BL1, BL2, BL8000, BS9000, BL5, BC2, BS5, BV5, BV4-50, Beosystem 3, BL3, DVD1, Beoremote 4, Moment.

Thoughts like this is sadly going to make Europe a developing country one day. We can't all be executives and designers.

Too long to list....
