Beolit 12 Newbie

Can anyone help a brother out please???

I have just spent 4 hours trying to connect my new Beolit 12. Finally got it connected to my iPhone5./

But when I play anything I get no sound. I have tried to find some info but nothing.

This will be a very expensive mistake if I have to use a wire everytime. That works ok

Hi,

Follow all steps from a paper guide you found in your box.

When your completely sure that your Beolit 12 is on 'Your' network( wireless button is solid white), do next.

When you finish, go to music icon on your iphone 5 and choose Beolit12xxxxx from airplay little icon near volume. 

And your done!

Check dozen of times if you have done all steps from a guide with success. I had similar problem cause i didnt read carefuly.

If still doesnt work, just go to your local B&O seller and let them try there.

Unless you bought it from B&O website, Apple, John Lewis, Amazon etc etc, in which case I don't know what they expect you to do.

If you did buy it from a local dealer, I would expect them to come out and help you set it up, or arrange for you to bring it into the store to test it.

The more stuff they sell on line the more negative feedback they will generate when it doesn't work and the dealer network isn't there to provide backup.

So when you bye it online(amazon, apple...) you dont get B&O guarantie with your global customer ID? You cant ask for help from nearest store with a proof of purchase via serial no. in their database? 

Thats horror if its true.

B&O will not pay for a warranty claim to a dealer for going to a customers house to help set up a Beolit 12 on WiFi.

Dealers certainly should not go round to assist a person setting up a product that was bought elsewhere for no money!

If online retailers cannot support the product, they should not be selling it!!!

This thread has confused me. It's marked as a 'Verified answer" yet as far as I can see, the OP hasn't commented since his initial query, so I don't know if his problem is fixed.

Have I missed something?

Hard to tell what may be wrong from your post.

Does it appear as an Airplay speaker in your iPhone 5? From your post I guess it does.

As another poster suggested, follow the instructions how to connect to your network very carefully.

Also, try restarting your iPhone.
