Hi PapaJustify,

did you read my post just above yours - obvisiously not.

No need to get cocky. I was just pointing out the obvious and wasn't even talking to you.

my understanding is that the bv12 ng is a stop gap until the new tv comes out with a special motorised stand which hides the speakers. this replaces the 7 and all bv4s the new tv is at least a year away. bo have not decided on panel yet

I see no reason why the BV12 should not exist along with (the) future BV for quite a while.

But we are guessing now - time will tell.

Agree with Millemissen - the BV12 will exist along with the future BV7 replacement, the one with the speaker that slides out from under the telly and then extends to both sides (but still not as wide as the tv). The 3 versions of could be launched in April, May and June 2014 (the two larger versions will be 75" and 85").

Still surprised by the lack of information in this thread - like the details concerning the "new" BeoLab 8000, with the ALT lens on top and the fan-shaped wood panels... and a base that is reduced by 50% compared to the existing BL8k and a stiletto shaped "leg" that mimics a lady's pumps. Or the new BL4k replacement, about the same size as the BL4k but with an art-twist to it (both sets to be wireless at launch). And they could be released in October this year. And then there is the new sub to replace the BL2, which I will not comment on as it is nothing but just strange looking :-)

Ok, so I see a bit of "new Beolab 8000" inspiration there :

We're waiting for you to provide them and are thankful you have :)

Any news on this forthcoming TV which will sit between the V1 and BV11? It was supposed to be released this September/October, but there's almost no information about this, at all?

@Roger: Sources please???

And why are you surpriced with the lack of information in this thread?

Was it already in the news in Norway?

@Roger.   Is the price of the new '8000' still the same as the old '8000'.

It's called irony. I think Roger is implying there are few people who have concrete information, yet the thread runs to multiple pages. Luckily he can give us info.

If it is/was 'irony', I surely did not understand it.

These pages are for information about 'New products...", so we are of course pleased to learn something new.

But what Roger writes must be 'heavy indersider knowledge' - otherweise it already would have been posted here.

Seems that he has already seen the new sub.

So my question about the source is relevant!

We don't need any guessings/rumours here.

Greetings Millemissen

Please don't undervalue Roger's reply by trying to say that he shouldn't be spreading rumours. Good lord. We've all known Roger for a long long time and he offers a very valued and trusted contribution to the board.

Any more details on the BeoSystem 4? My dealer had indicated that the following could be features:

-possibility for adding height channels

-ability to update the PUC over the internet

-iPad control

-extending iPad control of a connected BeoSound 5 without needing a MLGW

Can anyone confirm if these features are included? Any details about what the BeoSystem 4 looks like?

These 2 features are available for the BV11... so at least these 2 are confirmed.

Tomorrow is the press release/launch for the BV12 NG - maybe after that we will know more.

The launch will be sept 3/4 - at least then we may know more about the BSys4 and the BeoRemote.

The BSys4 supports up to 12 audio channels - I guess there are some high channels included ;-)

What it looks like? You may get an idea by looking at the last post here:

My observation is that this thread has a little less certainly/fact than usual and maybe this is because B&O are good at keeping secrets but wonder if B&O would make more money by releasing a few more trailers (like the car industry) so that people can plan (save up for) the new products and not give up hope and buy other brands.

My dealer has done a great job of getting me excited about the BV7 replacement and the return to the mechanical magic is most welcome (still love my BS9000) but the detail behind BL8/4000 replacements is still very limited and why are B&O still keeping the end game for NL a secret?  I don't totally understand the secrecy as B&O don't have any real compeditors, only imitators.

Was over at my local dealer's for the first time in months, earlier today.

One thing that I found interesting, was a lack of talk about this forthcoming new TV, which was supposed to launch this October and would sit between the V1 and BV11. Indeed, I've told a friend who was looking to buy the V1 to hold on this purchase until this TV is launched. We've discussed this TV on occasions, on this board.

Now I hear there is no forthcoming TV. Nothing planned before next April. So, the range will consist of the V1, BV10 (why?), BV11, BV12-65.

Yes, same here in the UK, to clear all remaining BV7's and the 'old' BV12-65 (NG is forthcoming). Leaving us with the V1, BV10 (why?), BV11, BV12-65NG until at least next summer.

I'm just confused, as earlier this year all the talk was about a brand new TV range, due October, which would sit between the V1 and BV11!

So am I - I was really looking forward to that TV, a mix between V1 and BV11 would be perfect for me (both functionality- and price-wise).

I hope new TV should be a 4k. More professional shoots and films are made today in this format. Sony camera F65 support even 8k. One reason why his launch time is delayed ?? We will see !

My dealer claims 4K isn't on the short to medium term agenda as B&O's customerbase isn't interested and there are no 4K sources, particularly in the UK. You can't promote 4K as a feature and reason for buying, if there isn't a single 4K TV channel or disc medium. Besides, you can't bring out a 4K TV sitting under the BV12 - 4K is suited to 65" - as it would confuse your market.
