I just acquired a really nice CD 7K and (another) BM 7k because they'd already had numerous caps replaced in the signal chain and seem to be in fine condition. However the CD player does a curious thing... When it is tipped forward the CD tray slides forward a bit. Obviously, it's intended to sit flat and it operates fine, but I just didn't know if this means that something has worn out that maintains tension on the tray when its closed and powered off, or if it is normal.

This just means that the loading mechanism is still properly lubricated and not dried out. Keep it level Smile
