Hi I am new to beoworld and I would like a bit of advice. Having not had a turntable for over 10 years I have just been given a Beogram 1800 in a good condition. Unfortunately the previous owner had removed the din plug from the cable and connected 2 RCA phono plugs instead with a bit tape to hold it in place. I looks like a bit of a mess. I would like to put a 5 pin din back on and I think I am able to do it(I hope), so I can connect it to a Beomaster 2400-2. The last turntable I had was a Beogram 8002, and it had a 7 pin din socket at the back, so it was very easy to connect a new cable, but the Beogram 1800 has a cable connected inside the turntable so it is not so easy.
Could someone advice me. Thanks in advance.
Max
This might do the trick. Don't forget to attach the ground wire to the chassis of the receiver.
Hi MediaBobNY,
This explains how to do it http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/24729.aspx
i have the same issue with my 1200 - each signal has its own ground as well as a separate ground for the chassis.

David
