Hello gentlemen.

Can anyone please tell me how to permanently keep the screen in format 3 (wide).

TV keeps reverting back to format one and has to be changed every time you turn the television on back to format 3 or there are black channels down each vertical side of the screen.

I cannot find it in the manual anywhere.  Surely this can be done.

Any help would be much appreciated.  Smile

Regards.

Rex.

It's almost certainly SCART related - did you read this?  http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/29180/230190.aspx#230190

Thank you Guy.

I will have a play around with it.

Much appreciated.

I vaguely remember when I had a Beovision 3 that the problem was the scart connection and PIn 8 if I recall.

I had a Sky box at the time and after moving some of my stuff around I had plugged the TV into the wrong scart socket on the box, a socket that didn't have Pin 8 control of the picture format.

Only a suggestion. This may not be your problem, but plugging in to the correct scart socket fixed it for me.

Just looked at the link and I'm repeating myself. Not for the first time!
