Hi guys,
I've seen a similar question but noone with the same problem as I am having currently. I have a BV 7-40 as the main tv, and a BV 6-26 in the bedroom. They are connected via masterlink and for the video feed, I have run a coaxial cable between the two. An RF modulator sits between.
Now, the problem is that I cannot get any picture on my BV 6. It's just the regular static (snow...war of the ants) that you'd see in the old days. What am I doing wrong? What needs to be adjusted for this to work? Is the fact that I have an adapter on the RF Link Amp between the coaxial and the RF Link a problem?

Did you do any configuring with the settings in both BeoVisions ?
You have to set the BV7 to broadcast and the BV6 to receive that frequency.
Also, did you cable the RF modulator with multiple connections to the BV7.
It threw me the first time I saw that wiring arrangement !

The BV6 must be set to video option 6 if it is being used as a receiver in a Masterlink set up, as it is designed as a transmitter in a Masterlink system.

The RF Modulator is only linked once, i.e. from the BV 7 and nothing going back. Is that the problem?
As for the option setting, I have set it to 6 (on the BV 6) but it doesn't help... :-(

Don't know if it helps but my bv7 is connected to my bv3 its no modulator just a single ariel cable and ML and works ffine link tv is set to option 6
If I use the sky box upstairs I need to press link sat to get to the sky box downstairs.

This is not the RF modulator, it's the manual for the RF link amplifier. RF modulator is built into your BV7.
Connect RF out to MOD IN of the link amplifier and TAP 1/2/3/4 to antenna in of your link tv.
Set BV7 to ?OPT 1/2, link TV to V.OPT 5/6.
RF modulator in BV7 must be set to auto/ on.
Search link frequency in your link TV.
What is the adapter you were talking of in your first post?

The adapter is a coaxial-to-f-cable-adapter, as my coaxial is of the old kind, and the Link Amplifier requires an f-cable. These adapters thus bridge the coaxials coming in and going out, to ensure that the cables can connect.
I have my BV11 (sitting room) and BV10-32 (kitchen) "connected" through a simple and ingenious scheme: HDMI splitters plus using a puc to control the Sky box from each TV.
Works like a dream. No need for masterlink, both in separate rooms. Better still, I get a HD picture on the BV10-32 as it's coming directly from the Sky box in the other room, rather than via the BV11. So I can control the box, plus get an upgraded image and even show a HD picture on both TVs, without a delay - something I could never achieve via masterlink.

Does it matter? You get a much stronger and better signal than sending via an analogue cable, via masterlink. And no delay.
Well, if the two rooms are at each end of a house, I suppose it would be a problem.

If I understand this right, it is a problem. There should 1 cable going back to the RF Link Amplifier. From "LINK TV out" (BV7) to "mod in" (link amplifier). Not having this cable explains the static snow, because there is simply no signal. Tap 1 and 2 should go to BV7 and BV6

Both are not necessary.
The RF modulator in the BV7 switches on automatically if needed. Searching the link frequency is not needed with a BV6. It was with the old MX7000.. So it is plug and play!
