Hi there,

I would like to have a chat about few cables that I need for my system along with problems I am facling along the way.

I have:

1 Beo Center 2
1 Beo Center 2 Socket unit
1 Beo Lab 2
4 Beo Lab 3
2 Bose non amplified no B@O speakers

First:

What I am trying to is connect 4 Beo Labs 3 to Beo Lab 2 and then to Beo Center 2. I have managed to do this by using 'Y' Adaptor/Splitter for Bang & Olufsen B&O BeoLab PowerLink Mk3. But now I have this hummmm sound in 2 speakers that I did not have before. So do you what can I do to eliminate thsi hmmmm sound?

Second:

Then what I need to do now is connect my Non B@O and non amplified Bose speakers to Beo Center 2 Socket unit. ( they are outdoors speakers ) For this I am sure I need cable and I would like to know what do I need? Can you help?

Thank you for support

Warmly Zoran

Use the t-spllitter on the Beocenter 2 socket unit

From the T-Splitter

1) Run MARK 2 fully-wired Powerlink to a Beolink Passive/MCL2P to connect your outdoor speakers

2) Run MARK 3 4 wire to the Input of the sub

From the Sub

Run a further 2 t-splitters from the 2 x Outputs, and then from the (now) 4 outputs run MARK 3 4-wire to the Beolab 3

Hi King of Snake:))))

Wow can you please explain this to me as I am 2 years old as I am not getting it:))

I understand sub connection and this is exactly what I have done, What I do not understand is Socket connection:

So what I get is:

1. I plug in T spliter to Beo Socket until in to the power link

2.  Then you said " Run MARK 2 fully-wired Powerlink to a Beolink Passive/MCL2P to connect your outdoor speakers" So where is Beo link passive MCL2P? and how to connect outdoors speakers to this?

3. Run MARK 3 4 wire to the Input of the sub, I think I get this.

4. I have attached photos of my speaker and wires I have on the other end of it.

Thank you sooo much

Zoran

The Beolink Passive is an external power amplifier that will allow you to use passive speakers. Look here.

It has a powerink input and 2 pin DIN speaker outputs. It will connect via Masterlink which would then allow independent control which might be better. It would also mean you don't need the t splitter.

Hi Peter,

Thanks so much so I need to order and buy Beo Passive. DO I get it form B@O direct or do you know supplier?

Cheers Zoran

Hi Peter I was to fast with question: So I can connect 2 non amplified speakers to Beolink passive? As I have 4 wires ( 2 pwe speaker )?  I googled images of Beo link passive and at the back in only has connection for 2 external speaker wires? Is that correct? Thanks Zoran

If you want to operate the outdoor speakers as a second zone then the way Peter suggested is correct (although you will need a separate IR Sensor and lead), if you want them running all the time whilst your active speakers are playing then my way is ok too........ My understanding and experience is that you can bi-wire the 2-pin din plugs (supplied with the MCL2P or passive from my Company) so effectively feed four passive speakers. I did not see images of your setup.  If you do use ML cable as Peter has suggested then the Beocenter 2 can play, for example, radio in one zone and cd/dvd in another simultaneously.

Peter, you will need two t-splitters at the back of the Beolab 2 to feed four Beolab 3's................. if you use ML you will not need three  t-splitters.............. just two!!

Zoran I understand your confusion now, each 2 pin din connection has two speaker terminals to connect your two wires (each having 2 wires so a total of four wires)
