Was thinking of adding a couple of BL4 PC version connected to an airport express on the landing.

Currently an airport express is connected to my BS9000

So I was going to add another airport and BL4's (which saves trying to get powerlinks upto the loft and adding a BL active .)

I can control separate volumes from itunes.

Interested in anyones thoughts??

I already have 1 airport express and it has worked without fault/dropouts etc on my bs9000 and previously bc2300 for about 5 years now and it's reasonably priced and it's only supporting backgorund music on the landing.

What is the differences between playmaker and airport express??\

Some say playmaker sounds better. It provides an additional line in as well as support for basic remote control via Beo 4.

I am not unhappy with mine, just wish it would start up quicker then it does.

Hi Mark,

I had BeoLab 4PC some years ago connected to an iPhone dock. I worked great... Later I tried to connect them to an Airport express to stream the music from my Macbook pro and it was a disaster! The sound coming out of the BL4 was extremely loud and unstandable even when the volume was set to the minimum in iTunes on the Mac. You couldn't stay in the room and all the building could here the noise... Finally I connected the APX to my TV and this works fine.

If I remember well I think that I read somewhere in this forum that you need a kind of 'reducer' between the APX and the BL!

I hope it helps...
