Hi, I have Beovision Avant 32" DVD TV currently front spkrs Beolab 8000 and rear spkrs 6000. I tried a beolab 2 connected it at the back of tv in the subwoofer port; there was the green indication lamp on the sub. The front side of the sub had a little movement; the 2 sides had hardly any thump. I changed the sub level to a max of 9 thru tv menu, still no change. Is there something I am not doing correct?? All help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The man trying to sell it to me said it works perfectly with his beosound 3200. Thanks in advance.

Green light and a little movement on sides ticks all the physical boxes.

Can you not hear the difference ? Should be easy to hear with 8000's.

If you want to test the sub to make sure it's functioning properly, temporarily connect the lead going into one of the BeoLab 8000 into the sub, then connect either one or both of the BeoLab 8000 to the sub directly, select the correct position on the switch then play some standard 2 channel music on your system. If the music has ANY level of bass at all it WILL be noticeable with the BeoLab 2. There should be virtually no question that the sub is working. In the normal music system arrangements (i.e. a BS3200 by itself etc.) this is how the Lab 2 SHOULD be hooked up, becoming an intermediary between the final speakers and the source. This allows it to cut out low frequencies from the main speakers. However, I know nothing about the TVs and if they have a dedicated subwoofer jack, then it should probably be used.

I believe the Lab 2 also has a "corner-wall-free standing" switch and depending on where this is placed bass response will be minimized for the proper placement.
